If you're using a VPN (Virtual Private Network), some Angel titles may be missing from your library. Here's why and how to fix it.
What happens when a VPN is detected
A VPN doesn't block you from streaming — but when we detect one, your library is limited to globally available titles only. This means:
- Titles available in your actual region may not appear.
- Some shows or movies may seem to be missing.
- You may see fewer titles than usual.
This happens because of content licensing agreements. Studios grant streaming rights based on viewer location, and a VPN hides your real location from our systems.
How to turn off your VPN
The steps depend on your device, but here are the most common:
On iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap General, then VPN & Device Management.
- Toggle VPN Status to off.
On Android:
- Open Settings.
- Tap Network & Internet, then VPN.
- Select your VPN and tap Disconnect.
On Windows:
- Open Settings and select Network & Internet.
- Click VPN.
- Select your VPN and click Disconnect.
On Mac:
- Open System Settings and click Network.
- Select your VPN connection.
- Click Disconnect.
On a smart TV or streaming device:
If your VPN is set up at the router level, you'll need to disable it from your router or contact your VPN provider for help.
After disconnecting, restart the Angel app to refresh your library.
