Angel Parental Controls let you customize what you see and hear, so you can enjoy films on your terms. You can mute or skip language, violence, and other content categories you'd rather avoid. Parental Controls work on all Angel titles, including DRM-protected films.
How Parental Controls work
When Parental Controls are active, Angel will automatically:
- Mute specific words or phrases you've chosen to filter.
- Skip or blur scenes that match your selected categories.
The Parental Controls icon shows your current status:
- Gray icon: No filters are active.
- Green icon: One or more filters are turned on.
How to set up Parental Controls
On the web (angel.com):
- Sign in to your account.
- Tap Profile in the top right corner.
- Select Parental Controls.
- Toggle on the categories you want to filter.
- Save your settings.
On smart TV apps (Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Samsung, LG, Vizio):
- Open the Angel app.
- Go to Settings and select Parental Controls.
- Scan the QR code with your phone to open the web setup page.
- Adjust your filters and save.
- Your settings will sync to your TV automatically.
On Roku:
- Open the Angel app on Roku.
- Start playing a title.
- While the video is playing, open the Parental Controls menu on screen.
- Toggle filters on or off.
Adjusting filters while watching
You can change your filters during playback without leaving the video. Just open the Parental Controls menu from the player and update your selections.
