If you're seeing an error like "This title isn't available due to device compatibility," your device may not meet the security requirements for DRM-protected content.
Why this happens
Some titles on Angel are protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management), which requires devices to meet specific security and software standards set by our studio partners. If your device doesn't meet these standards, DRM-protected titles won't play on it.
Common reasons your device may not be compatible
- Your operating system is out of date.
- Your device is jailbroken or rooted.
- Your device is too old to support the required security features.
- You're using a browser that doesn't support DRM (like older versions of Chrome or Firefox).
How to fix it
- Check for software updates. Open your device's settings and install any available system updates.
- Update the Angel app to the latest version.
- Restart your device and try playing the title again.
- Try a different supported device if the issue continues.
Supported devices for DRM content
- Mobile: iPhone/iPad, Android phones, Amazon Fire tablets
- TV & streaming devices: Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Chromecast, Samsung, LG, and Vizio smart TVs
- Computers: Windows and macOS using current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox
- Gaming consoles: PS4, PS5, and Xbox
Note: Non-DRM titles will continue to play normally on your device. Only DRM-protected films and shows are affected.
