If you're trying to cast a title from your phone or AirPlay it to your TV and it isn't working, you've likely run into a DRM restriction. Here's why and what to do.
Why this happens
Some titles on Angel are protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management). To protect these titles from unauthorized copying, casting and AirPlay are disabled for DRM-protected content.
This means you can't cast or AirPlay certain titles from your phone or tablet to:
- Chromecast
- AirPlay-compatible TVs
- Smart TVs (when casting from a mobile app)
How to watch on your TV instead
The good news: you can still watch these titles on your TV by using the Angel app directly on your streaming device.
- Open the Angel app on your TV or streaming device.
- Sign in to your account.
- Search for the title you want to watch.
- Press Play.
Supported TV apps
- Apple TV
- Roku
- Fire TV
- Android TV
- Samsung, LG, and Vizio smart TVs
Note: Non-DRM titles can still be cast or AirPlayed as usual. This restriction only applies to DRM-protected films and shows.
