What's it about?
When feared outlaw Quirt Evans staggers onto a rancher's land with a bullet in his back, he expects a quick death, not mercy. But Penny, the rancher's daughter, offers him a chance at something he’s never had: a life beyond violence. However, the past doesn’t forgive. What is it rated?
Angel and the Badman has received an MPA rating of PG-13 for violence/bloody images, suggestive material and language.
While the MPA has officially rated the movie PG-13, here at Angel we know that rating doesn’t always give parents the full picture. The Angel Guild—a community of thousands of parents, viewers, and supporters who screen and vote on Angel projects—has recommended the movie for Ages 12+ for depictions of violence and intense peril. Also includes a brothel setting, implied sexual menace, and mild language, including 3 uses of h*ll and 2 wh*re.
Is this a remake?
Yes! Angel and the Badman is a reimagining of the classic John Wayne western of the same name. The film is directed by Julio Quintana and stars Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones, Zachary Levi, and Neal McDonough.
